We are seeking a goal-driven and hard-working Insurance Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate hospital and physician billing and facilitating prompt payments from payers.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve insurance processing errors and denials to reduce outstanding accounts receivable.
Utilize specialized software for eligibility verifications, pre-authorizations, and updating patient accounts.
Speak with patients and insurance companies (Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, etc.) regarding outstanding balances and billing inquiries.
Gather and update patient demographics, primary care providers, and insurance information.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of Denials Management experience AND 2-3 years of Medical Billing/Follow-up experience.
Required experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or similar software.

Core Competencies

Thorough knowledge of patient billing and claims submission processes.
Familiarity with insurance Explanations of Benefits (EOB) and denial codes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
