🚀 Country Manager — Guyana | Full-time · On-site (Georgetown)

Continental Oil & Gas Services is building its operation in Guyana and is looking for a Country Manager to lead the local entity end to end — a hands-on general manager who builds and runs the business in the Stabroek-block service market while reporting to the Board in Brazil.

🔴 Mandatory (knockout) requirement: full professional fluency in ENGLISH and PORTUGUESE.

Role overview:

The Country Manager leads Continental's Guyana operation as a general manager with ownership over every function of the local entity: commercial development, field and operational execution, administration, regulatory and local-content compliance, finance and people. It is not a representative or liaison post — it is the senior accountable leader on the ground.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the commercial strategy and convert it into qualified opportunities with FPSO operators and EPC contractors in the Stabroek block; lead offer architecture and pricing, defending margin over price.

• Be hands-on across the operation: mobilisation, base activity, project execution and HSE performance, ensuring delivery quality and on-time execution.

• Supervise all areas of the local entity (administrative and logistics teams); oversee local-content compliance, import-export processes and regulatory obligations; ensure financial control and reporting integrity.

• Maintain the Local Content Certificate, manage the relationship with the Local Content Secretariat, develop a local supplier base and build the local workforce in line with Guyana's local-content requirements.

• Coordinate with the Brazil organisation for resources, equipment and technical expertise, while retaining local decision-making autonomy and providing structured reporting to the Board.

• Be accountable for the targets agreed with the Board — measured by quality of business won, margin and strategic positioning rather than volume.

Requirements (Essential):

• Full professional fluency in both Portuguese and English is required, as the role works directly with the Brazil-based leadership in Portuguese and runs the local operation in English.

• Willingness to relocate to and be based in Georgetown, Guyana.

• Genuine owner's mindset — takes responsibility for outcomes end to end.

• Hands-on, low-bureaucracy operator who builds and runs rather than administers, with the seniority to report to a Board and manage a full P&L.

• Excellent relationship with technology and digital tools.

• Strong commercial instinct combined with operational credibility.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop people.

Desirable:

• Experience in offshore oil & gas services.

• Experience working with FPSOs.

• Experience implementing or scaling operations in emerging markets.

What success looks like:

A Guyana entity operating reliably, a credible commercial pipeline positioned for high-value, high-margin work, a capable local team in place and a clear, trusted reporting line to the Board.
