United Insurance Agents (Saint Lucia) Limited, agentsfor CG United Insurance, is seeking a customer-oriented, positive, driven team player to fill the role of Underwriter at our Vieux Fort Branch.

Qualifications/Abilities

Minimum qualifications: Insurance-specific studies at Certificate level (AIIC, CII, or equivalent)
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an insurance-related field would be considered an asset
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Computer-literate with proficiency in standard business applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
Professional demeanour with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and able to work effectively within a team environment
Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic attitude toward service delivery

Principal Responsibilities

Provide efficient, courteous, and reliable customer service to clients and brokers
Prepare and issue insurance quotations, policies, endorsements, and related documentation
Assist clients with renewals, new business inquiries, and policy amendments
Provide insurance advice and guidance to customers and prospective clients
Ensure all required underwriting and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation is submitted and compliant
Respond to customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally
Support departmental reporting, policy administration, and other underwriting-related duties as assigned
Undertake special projects as required

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
