Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Pre-Sales Technical Expert to support the growth of our Engineering & Construction Division. The responsibilities include providing technical consultation to potential clients, understanding their business needs, and demonstrating how GISCAD’s engineering solutions align with those needs. The role also involves preparation and delivery of presentations, performing product demonstrations, and collaborating with Sales teams to develop customized solutions for clients. Effective communication and problem-solving will be central to supporting inquiries from prospective clients and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during client engagements and business development activities
Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their structural engineering workflows, design challenges, and software requirements
Recommend suitable engineering and structural design software solutions based on customer needs
Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and technical discussions with confidence and credibility
Assist in preparing technical proposals, scopes of work, solution recommendations, and responses to tenders or RFPs
Provide pre-sales support for solutions related to structural analysis, design, detailing, BIM, and engineering workflows
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation and customer success
Stay current on GISCAD’s engineering software portfolio, including structural and construction-related technologies and all competing solutions.
Support technical evaluations, proof-of-concept exercises, and customer consultations
Contribute market insights, client feedback, and competitive intelligence to help refine go-to-market strategies
Represent GISCAD professionally at meetings, seminars, industry events, and client presentations

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in structural engineering, structural design, or a related technical consulting role
Practical knowledge of structural engineering principles, analysis, design workflows, and industry standards
Experience using structural engineering and design software such as Prokon, Autodesk, or similar engineering platforms
Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into practical and value-driven technical recommendations
Experience in a customer-facing, pre-sales, consulting, or technical support role would be an advantage
Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development and sales growth
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating across teams

Preferred Attributes

Strong understanding of engineering consultancy, design office, or construction industry environments
Comfortable engaging with engineers, project managers, technical decision-makers, and business leaders
Able to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Results-oriented with a strong customer-service mindset
Willingness to travel regionally and internationally for client & supplier meetings and presentations when required
