Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager, based in Nassau. The Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation and integrity of financial accounting and reporting across the Group’s Bahamian entities, including the insurer, agency, and broker.

This role serves as the primary preparer and owner of monthly financial close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements, ensuring results are accurate, well-supported, and audit-ready before review by the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Month-End Close

Prepare monthly management accounts for all Bahamian entities
Prepare and post routine and complex journal entries
Maintain and execute a structured month-end close checklist

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Prepare and maintain all material balance sheet reconciliations
Escalate unusual or high-risk items to the Financial Controller

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Draft monthly and quarterly financial statements
Prepare variance analysis versus budget and prior periods

Audit, Regulatory & Control Support

Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
Act as first point of contact for routine audit queries

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus)
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of IFRS
Experience with Compliance, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Requirements
Team Management capabilities with excellent communication skills
Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Relevant experience in the finance or insurance industry is an advantage
