LAFAST Motors, local dealership for BMW, MINI, BYD and Foton vehicles, is seeking EV Technicians to join our exciting and innovative team to service our range of Electric and Hybrid vehicles. As part of the Lafast Aftersales department, our technicians are trained through international brand representatives locally and abroad. Lafast has locations in Port of Spain and San Fernando and currently has vacancies for both locations.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role. The EV Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles. Key responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing system diagnostics, troubleshooting and ensuring optimal performance of vehicle systems. The role also involves updating vehicle software, collaborating with team members, and maintaining accurate service records to ensure client satisfaction and safety, while ensuring compliance with brand processes and standards.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing electric vehicle systems, components, and high voltage batteries
Experience with preventive maintenance and routine servicing procedures for EVs
Ability to use specialized diagnostic tools and software effectively
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety protocols
Relevant certifications in automotive EV technologies are required
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
