Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently follow the Steps of Customer Service
with every customer as well as promote the Global Total Rewards program
- Cash all sales transactions with speed and accuracy at all times following the company’s policies on cash register operations and money handling;
- Must be fully prepared to assume duty for the time rostered to work – e.g. float check completed, fully uniformed, etc.
- Ensure that every customer receives fast efficient and friendly service;
- Coordinate and consolidate all outgoing food items from the kitchen to customers ensuring that stock rotation, food quality, portion control, presentation, product holding and service times are within the company’s policies and standards with respect to same;
- Physically count floats and any money received before and after all shifts;
- Complete the cashiers sales book at the end of every shift;
- Ensure that the store manager is immediately informed of all sales, cash or operational discrepancies;
- Refer all customer complaints to the manager on duty;
- Reporting any situations that would require a void transaction to the manager on duty as soon as they occur;
- Clean and sanitize all workstations related to the cashier as outlined by the restaurant manager
- Ensuring that workstations are adequately stocked and restocked before and after rush periods;
- Observing all policies regarding the cashing preparing and consumption of all employee meals;
Qualification
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 ‘O’ level passes or CXC equivalent and or a passing grade at the company’s entry level test.
- Must be able to read, understand, and write the English language at the secondary level;
- Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations at a level which facilitates the counting of cash floats, making change and balancing end of shift sales;
Experience
- Must be pleasant, polite, well mannered, well groomed, well spoken, patient and customer service oriented;
- Must be flexible with the ability to multi task on occasions;
- Must maintain the interest of the company at all times;
- Must be a team player
- Must acquire a valid food badge within two weeks of being employed;
