The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing the company’s receivables process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment collection, and financial recordkeeping. This role plays a critical part in maintaining cash flow, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring a high standard of client communication and service.

Responsibilities

Generate and issue daily customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor outstanding balances and actively follow up on unpaid invoices via phone, email, and formal correspondence.
Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding account status, resolving queries and discrepancies professionally.
Document and update all collection activities and payment statuses within internal systems.
Coordinate and track payment arrangements with clients to support timely collections.
Prepare weekly bank deposits, ensuring all cash and cheque payments are accurately logged and reconciled.
Schedule and coordinate deposit pickups.
Manage weekly cheque collection processes.
Oversee retail store daily cash-out procedures and ensure proper morning setup for operations.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for Finance and Executive meetings.
Support the development of accounts receivable statements and client correspondence, including charts and tables, using Microsoft Office tools.
Provide accurate data and insights related to receivables to support decision-making.

Qualifications

Prior experience in accounts receivable, collections or general accounting is preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Strong Organizational and recordkeeping skills
