Bridge/Structural Engineer (5–10 Years Experience)

Commonwealth Engineers & Consultants, Inc. is seeking a motivated and qualified Bridge/Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our Bridge and Structures Design Group.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of bridge and structural design, including:

Preliminary and final design of bridges and structures
Structural detailing using AutoCAD
Bridge inspections and condition assessments
Specification development
Preparation of contract documents
Coordination with other disciplines, including highway design, traffic engineering, and permitting
Support of project delivery from concept through construction

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Rhode Island Professional Engineering License or have the ability to obtain within six months of employment.
5–10 years of relevant bridge and/or structural engineering experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
