Velocis is the fourth module in the XBASE training program, designed to revolutionise how you approach underwater propulsion. This course delves deep into the fundamental propulsion techniques that are essential for becoming a truly proficient diver. Unlike any other program, the Velocis teaches these techniques with an unprecedented level of detail, ensuring that you master every key movement and position that will elevate your diving experience. Whether you're aiming for flawless positioning, efficient relative work, or smooth manoeuvring in tight spaces, the skills you acquire in this module will enable you to move through the water with precision, grace, and efficiency.

What You Will Learn

In this module, you will learn how to execute the core propulsion techniques that every diver needs to master. These skills are essential not only for increasing your efficiency but also for improving your overall diving experience by reducing energy expenditure and enhancing control.

Flutter Kick (and Modified Flutter Kick) - Learn the correct technique and gain a thorough understanding of when and how to effectively use the flutter kick.
Frog Kick (and Modified Frog Kick) - Perfect the frog kick in its proper form to optimise propulsion and energy efficiency, a key technique used by quality divers.
Back Kick - Master the essential back kick technique for precise backward movement, perfect for maintaining position and navigating tight spaces.
Helicopter Turn - Refine the helicopter turn to smoothly change direction while staying in place.

Each technique will be broken down into its components, allowing you to understand the nuances of movement, body positioning, and fin mechanics. You'll practice these techniques in real-world scenarios, ensuring you can perform them instinctively and efficiently during your dives.

If you have not completed the previous modules with one of our mentors, you may still enrol to this module. However, you will need to schedule an additional day for the assessment of your knowledge and skills with your mentor before beginning your training days.
