The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all mandated training initiatives from Sandals Corporate University to the required standard and in line with the given timelines. He/she will coordinate training initiatives related to training needs identified in the region and/or at individual properties and ensure successful implementation.

Requirements/duties of the position include:

Collaborating with the learning & development managers in the assigned region to execute the academic calendar and ensure that sessions are scheduled, resourced and executed with efficiency and effectiveness
Identifying learning & development leads in need of performance improvement and recommending and implementing corrective plans
Reviewing & monitoring overall resort’s learning and development succession plan
Participating in and facilitating the hiring and onboarding of all new members of the learning and development department
Planning and executing monthly/quarterly learning & development manager meetings in the assigned region.
Working with the regional managing director to plan and execute learning projects within the region
Providing support to the resort in their respective regions in the absence of the learning and development manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor of Professional Studies in Training and Development, Business Administration, Education, or related field is preferred
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in learning development or related field
Experience in hospitality is an asset
