Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for L3 Rope Access & NDT Technicians based in Georgetown. The role involves performing rope access operations to carry out non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection, and maintenance activities on client assets in accordance with OES procedures and industry standards. Daily tasks include planning and supervising rope access work scopes, setting up and managing safe access systems, conducting visual and NDT inspections, and preparing clear, accurate reports. The technician will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, lead or mentor rope access teams, and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments. Collaboration with project managers, client representatives, and other technicians is essential to minimize operational disruption while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Rope Access operations, including IRATA/SPRAT Level 3 (or equivalent) certification and demonstrated experience supervising Rope Access teams.
Strong capability in Working at Height/Work at Height activities, with a solid understanding of fall protection, rescue techniques, and relevant safety regulations.
Experience in Inspection tasks, including visual inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., MPI, DPI, UT, Eddy Current), with valid NDT certifications preferred.
Previous exposure to Rope Access-related Window Cleaning or similar access-based maintenance activities is an advantage.
Excellent awareness of HSE best practices, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems in industrial or offshore environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and standards, and to produce clear written inspection and NDT reports.
Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior technicians and coordinate with client personnel.
Physically fit to perform Rope Access duties and medically fit as per industry requirements.
Relevant technical or engineering qualification (mechanical, structural, or related discipline) is preferred.
