Administrative Assistant (Compliance & Accounting Support)

Location: Nassau, New Providence (Hybrid)

About Nassau Captive Management Services Limited

Nassau Captives provides actuarial, accounting, administrative, underwriting and claims processing services, and acts as principal representative to support captive insurance and reinsurance clients in line with Bahamian insurance laws and regulations.

Role Summary

The Administrative Assistant supports both regulatory compliance and accounting/bookkeeping functions for the company and its clients. You will help coordinate annual reporting under applicable Companies and Insurance legislation, maintain compliance calendars, assist with correspondence to regulators, record day‑to‑day financial transactions, and assist with producing trial balances. You will also provide general office and client support to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

· Associate’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

· 2+ years’ experience in administrative, compliance, or bookkeeping roles.

· Working knowledge of the External Insurance Act, 2009 and local company filing requirements; familiarity with ICB communications/workflows.

· Proficiency with Excel and at least one accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks); strong comfort with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

· Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow‑through on deadlines; strong written and verbal communication.

Preferred

· Experience in captive insurance or broader insurance/financial services; exposure to Board meeting processes and audit support.

· Familiarity with AML/CFT/CPF frameworks and remediation tracking.
