ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Scrum Master to strengthen and stabilise the delivery process for GRETA, our point-of-sale and store-management software product. The successful consultant will assess the current way of working, introduce practical delivery controls, improve sprint predictability, coach the team and transfer the Scrum Master capability to an internal successor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assess the existing backlog, sprint structure, workflows and work-management practices.
Establish and maintain fixed sprint start and end dates and support realistic sprint commitments.
Facilitate effective backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily Scrum, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Help the team establish practical Definitions of Ready and Done.
Improve backlog readiness, estimation, task ownership, blocker management and early risk escalation.
Ensure active work, dependencies, delivery status and scope changes are clearly visible.
Monitor stale work, blocked items, review queues and testing queues, and help remove impediments.
Introduce practical delivery metrics and provide concise reporting to leadership.
Coach the Product Manager/Owner, Lead Developer, developers and stakeholders on sustainable Agile delivery practices.
Challenge overcommitment, unclear work and uncontrolled scope changes constructively.
Develop and support an internal successor who will assume responsibility for the Scrum Master function.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master within a software-product environment.
Proven experience stabilising teams with inconsistent, informal or developing Agile practices.
Experience improving sprint management, backlog practices, workflows and delivery governance.
Experience supporting software teams with multiple competing product priorities.
Experience working with Agile project-management or work-management platforms.
Ability to use delivery metrics to identify bottlenecks and support decision-making.
Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder-management and written communication skills.
Confidence to challenge ineffective practices respectfully, including with senior stakeholders.
A highly organised, practical and outcome-focused approach.
Ability to create structure without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

OUR DELIVERY SYSTEM

Our team uses Jira for backlog management, sprint tracking and delivery visibility. Prior Jira experience would be helpful but is not required; candidates with strong experience using comparable Agile tools are encouraged to apply.

The product team operates using Google-based platforms and established DevOps practices. The role is focused on Scrum, delivery governance, team coaching and continuous improvement rather than technical implementation.

EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE

Point-of-sale, retail or enterprise software experience.
Experience supporting teams operating within Google-based and DevOps environments.
Release-management or production-support experience.
Consulting or client-facing software-delivery experience.
Experience working with distributed or remote development teams.
PSM, CSM or an equivalent Scrum certification.
Prior experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint tracking, dashboards or reporting.
Fluency in both English and Spanish.

Certification is valued, but it will not substitute for practical experience improving software-delivery processes and stabilising development teams.

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

Applicants must be based in Trinidad and Tobago and available to work closely with the local leadership and product-delivery team.
