Key Responsibilities:

Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Conducting daily backup operations.
Managing technical documentation.

Skills/Qualification:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to use equipment safely, following company, industry and regulatory Standards
Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, approx. 28 ft high and 80 pounds). ·
Ability to work with hand and power tools. · Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
Ability to work independently and multitask
Ability to Complete a quality installation every time.
Present a positive, professional, and courteous image to our customers
Accurately complete essential paperwork.
Have a strong work ethic relating to quality and attendance.
Ability to communicate in person and by telephone
Ability to identify and report safety risks and hazards
Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics by crawling, bending, reaching, twisting
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to comprehend and operate appropriate testing equipment e.g. signal level meters, ohm/ power meters)
Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Must be able to perceive differences in wire and cable colours.
Must have working experience/knowledge of current computerized operations, CAD systems, and Visio.
Proficiency with PC-based programs such as Microsoft applications.
Skills in written communication for correspondence.
Ability to work with clients regarding engineering problems, confer with customer representatives while communicating work with Outside Plant Supervisor.
Ability to be a team player.
Ability to make a good decision based on the information given.
Ability to learn new products, procedures, and programs.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, and make a sound decision using the information at hand.
Must have clear, neat and legible handwriting
