Company Description: The Guyana Manufacturing & Services Association (GMSA) is one of Guyana's leading private sector bodies, with roots going back to 1967. Originally focused on manufacturing, the Association has grown to represent both the manufacturing and services sectors and today counts several hundred member businesses across the country. GMSA serves as the principal link between local industry and government, advocating for policies that support the growth of Guyana's production and services sectors, strengthening trade relationships, and helping local businesses meet international best practices. Among its initiatives is the GMSA Uncapped Marketplace, an online platform connecting Guyanese manufacturers and agro-processors with customers locally and abroad.

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Intern role based in Georgetown. The Intern will support day-to-day office operations of the Uncapped Marketplace website portal, including onboarding new producers to the platform, monitoring the website performance and providing basic support to businesses using the marketplace. The role also involves recruiting and onboarding new GMSA members across all sectors, assisting with with Government engagements and supporting the association's advocacy efforts. The Intern may assist in gathering and organizing information for reports, presentations, and outreach initiatives. The position offers exposure to stakeholder relations, local industry issues, and the opportunity to learn about advocacy and business support services in Guyana.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Wordpress Editor and graphic designing area assets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare basic documents and correspondence.
Demonstrated interest in manufacturing, services, business development, or economic affairs in Guyana.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders, maintain professionalism, and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
