🌟 What You’ll Do

As a key member of our Operations team, you will:

Customs Clearance & Documentation

Prepare and process all customs documentation required for import, export, and transshipment activities—ensuring quick, accurate clearance of all shipments.

Review, classify, and submit electronic entries using systems such as Islander and other online platforms.

Maintain complete, organized customs records for fast retrieval and audit compliance.

Regulatory Compliance & Coordination

Stay up to date on customs laws, regulations, tariff updates, and international trade practices.

Collaborate with government agencies, customs officials, and internal DHL departments to ensure customs compliance and solve clearance challenges.

Customer Support & Issue Resolution

Provide timely support to customers—answering inquiries, advising on required documents, and resolving customs‑related issues.

Contact consignees regarding duties, paperwork discrepancies, or standards-related matters.

Address shipment irregularities, including identifying and resolving potential dangerous or suspect shipments.

Operational Support

Maintain daily logs related to shipment clearance, exports, delays, and brokerage activity.

Prepare and transmit international manifests to support efficient clearance cycles.

Ensure origins receive updated information on local processes, charges, and documentation.

🎯 What You Bring to the Team

Working knowledge of computer systems and data-entry platforms

Familiarity with customs laws, international shipping standards, and dangerous goods regulations

No criminal convictions

High School diploma (or equivalent in experience)

Minimum 1 year experience in customs brokering or freight forwarding

Customs Broker License (preferred)
