Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Loans Officer based in Nassau, Bahamas. The Loans Officer will be responsible for overseeing our mortgage and consumer lending portfolio. The successful candidate will provide leadership in credit risk management, exercise lending authority, oversee mortgage legal documentation, and ensure full regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include staff supervision, portfolio reporting, and liaison with attorneys, external stakeholders and regulators.

Qualifications

A minimum of ten (10) years' senior level experience in mortgage and consumer lending
Strong knowledge of mortgage legal documentation and Bahamian lending regulations
Proven Leadership, sound judgement, and excellent communication skills
Knowledge and practical experience working as or with Loan Officers
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Banking, Law or related field
Professional certification is an asset
